2-day Orientation Held

Jagaran Nepal organized a two-day orientation to the IPWA members and women rights policy advocacy network members on leadership and advocacy skills, internal governance maintaining financial records and accountability, gender budgeting and development in Doti, Dadeldhura, Kavre and Sindhupalchowk in the month of June, 2012 under women’s inclusion in politics project supported by RDIF.

The program was held from June 7-8 in Dadeldhura, June 8-9 in Doti, June 7-8 in Sindhupalchowk and June 9-10 in Kavre districts respectively. In the program, all members of women rights policy advocacy networks formed in the districts were present including the district level members of IPWA.

In each district, district level two resource persons facilitated the participants on the subject matters. The participants were conceptual cleared on the subject matters. Closing session of the program was organized amidst the participation of local level stakeholders belonging to govt. , political , civil society and media sectors. The local stakeholders made their commitments to support the initiation of Jagaran Nepal on women’s rights and women’s inclusion in politics. They also made commitments to play a pivotal role in utilizing the locally available funds for women’s rights and women’s inclusion initiatives to be initiated by the women rights policy advocacy networks in the districts.
