Meeting with Women Rights Policy Advocacy Network Members Held
A meeting with district level women rights policy advocacy network members held in Doti, Dadeldhura, Sindhupalchowk and Kavre respectively on June 9, 10, 7 and 10 respectively. In Doti and Dadeldhura, the meeting was facilitated by Kiran Chalise, Project Coordinator. In the meeting the network members were oriented on the concept of women rights policy advocacy networks, its goal, objectives, approach, strategies and methodology. Similarly in Sindhupalchowk, the meeting was facilitated by Sarmila Karki, Chairperson of Jagaran Nepal and in Kavre, the meeting was facilitated by Meena Bista, Monitoring/Communication Officer.

In Dadeldhura, the meeting unanimously reshuffled the network with its 19 member membership including its further 3 months action plan to be finalized by the next meeting of the network. Similarly in Doti, the meeting prepared a 3 months action plan to be executed with the initiative of networks members in the coordination of IPWA members. In each meeting there was the participation of VDC level women leaders who are also the members of the networks. The meeting decided to bring and grab locally available funds for the empowerment and leadership development of women of the current VDCs including the adjoining VDCs.
