Project (CERA) Lesson-Learnt Sharing Workshop

Jagaran Nepal in coordination with HAMI (Humanitarian Assistance Monitoring Initiative) organized a "Project Lesson-Learnt Sharing Workshop" on 6th April, 2016 for the project "Communities (including women and vulnerable groups) Empowerment Reconstruction Activities (CERA)". The project was supported by IM-Swedish Development Partner. The short term (Sept 2015- Feb 2016) project was implemented in two most earthquake affected districts- Sindhupalchowk and Gorkha,  aiming at advocating on and empowering the earthquake affected communities about their rights, reconstruction and rehabilitation policies and processes.

In the workshop, 45 participants from concerned authorities, international development organizations, federations, concerned NGOs and civil society groups and media houses were presented.  The objectives of the workshop were to share and discuss the key lesson learnt, best practices, challenges and findings of the project to concerned authorities and stakeholders, and formally phase-out the project activities and request to concerned authorities/stakeholders to replicate and adopt the best practices in future planning. A project presentation was made and the participants were involved in a wider discussion where many issues were pointed out and appreciated the work carried out by Jagaran Nepal and HAMI throughout the project period.
