Ms Sharmila KarkiA Human/Women rights and Gender specialist, is the Executive Chief of Progrms and the President of Jagaran Nepal. She is armed with a Masters degree in Anthropology with Post Graduate Diploma on Gender and Women Studies from Tribhuvan University. She also has a Diploma in Women management and development from Lulu University, Sweden, Professional Certificate in Management through Open University UK and short course on "Peace and Conflict Resolution" from University of ULSTER, Northern Ireland.
She has worked as a gender specialist, consultant and human/women rights activist in UNDP, UNICEF, ADB, ILO, IPEC, ITTG, UNCDF, DANIDA, FINIDA, Save the Children Norway and numbers of national NGOs, CBOs, VDC, DDC, and Government office. She has conducted number of classes on Human rights and women rights. She is a Secretary of NGO Federation, Nepal.
